Titan™ C18 UHPLC Columns, 1.9 μm
Titan UHPLC columns, based on 1.9 µm totally porous monodisperse silica, outperform other UHPLC columns. These UHPLC columns provide the performance scientists expect (typically > 250,000 N/m), but at a greatly reduced cost. With the narrowest particle size distribution of all available sub-2 µm porous particles, Titan columns are the outcome of the highly efficient patent pending Ecoporous™ silica manufacturing process tha…

Titan UHPLC columns, based on 1.9 µm totally porous monodisperse silica, outperform other UHPLC columns.
These UHPLC columns provide the performance scientists expect (typically > 250,000 N/m), but at a greatly reduced cost. With the narrowest particle size distribution of all available sub-2 µm porous particles, Titan columns are the outcome of the highly efficient patent pending Ecoporous™ silica manufacturing process that delivers high-performance silica at a low cost. High Sensitivity Measurement of Underivatized Estradiol by LC/MS/MS using Titan™ C18 Monodisperse Silica Columns
The sex hormone estradiol is crucial for the development, maintenance, and regulation of female secondary sex characteristics. In postmenopausal women, loss of estrogen is a principal factor in the development of osteoporosis. For the measurement of estradiol in human serum, a fast and robust LC/MS/MS method was developed using Titan C18 UHPLC columns.
Scalable Specialty Carbon Adsorbents for Purification and Recovery Applications
This application note is an application newsletter which comes from Sigma Aldrich, with a focus on carbon adsorbents applied to purification and recovery. It features many pieces of equipment including the Titan™ C18 Monodisperse Silica Columns which can be seen on the Select Science website here.
Using UHPLC/MS (TOF) for Detection of Drugs and Metabolites in Urine following Optimized Enzymatic Hydrolysis Conditions
The goal of the study presented here was to determine optimal conditions for β-glucuronidase from various species toward hydrolysis of different compound classes with subsequent analysis by UHPLC/MS (TOF).
An Alternative to the USP Method for the Analysis of Riboflavin (Vitamin B2) and Impurities
The method reported here provides a viable alternative to the cumbersome USP and EP methods for the analysis of Rioboflavin (Vitamin B2). The combination of the Titan™ C18 column and rapid acetonitrile gradient provided excellent resolution and short analysis time under conditions compatible with both MS and UV detection.
Analysis of Vitamin D in Milk and Infant Formula using UHPLC/MS/MS per AOAC Method 2011.11
Fortification of milk, dairy products, infant and adult nutritionals with vitamin D is required in many countries in order to provide additional dietary vitamin D. A method for the determination of nutritionally important vitamin D forms is presented here. Analysis is performed as standards, and extracted from milk and infant formula after saponification following AOAC method 2011.11 using our Titan™ C18 UHPLC column and MS/MS with APCI detection.
Selective Extraction and Low Level Quantification of the Mycotoxin Patulin from Organic Apple Puree
Patulin is a mycotoxin that commonly infects apples used to produce juice and other apple products. Exposure to patulin may negatively impact human health so it is regulated in many countries including the United States and European Union member states. A method utilizing SupelMIP® SPE- Patulin cartridges and a Titan™ C18 UHPLC column with UV detection was developed to successfully demonstrate the extraction, detection, and quantification of patulin at low concentrations in organic apple puree.
HPLC Analysis of Water-Soluble Vitamins Using Titan™ C18 Column
Water soluble vitamins are important compounds and are essential for normal metabolism. They are naturally found in many foods and are often added to processed food products. This analytical method used the Titan™ C18 column and UV detection resulting in excellent resolution of nine water soluble vitamins in 2.5 minutes.
