Excellent performance
Hypertension and Vascular research.
Very Sensitive and accurate. The only comments i want to share is, temperature drop very quick when the door is open even for one minutes. The good thing is it revert back too quickly if closed promptly.

Great Freezer
Sample Storage
The TSX series ultra-low -80 freezer is a top-of-the-line freezer that provides excellent performance and features. In my opinion, it is one of the best ultra-low temperature freezers on the market today. One of the most notable features of this freezer is its low noise level. It operates at a noise level of just 48 decibels, which is barely noticeable. This is particularly important in laboratory environments, where noise can be a major distraction. Another great feature of the TSX series freezer is its Wi-Fi connectivity. This allows users to remotely monitor the freezer's performance and temperature from a smartphone or computer. This is particularly useful for researchers who need to monitor their samples around the clock. The TSX series freezer is also incredibly energy-efficient, with a high-quality insulation system that helps maintain a consistent temperature even during power outages. It is also designed to minimize frost buildup, which helps extend the life of the unit. Overall, I would highly recommend the TSX series ultra-low -80 freezer to anyone in need of a high-performance freezer that is both quiet and energy-efficient. Good freezer with one big problem
Ultralow temperature freezer storage
Bought this -80C freezer from Thermo-Fisher at a deep discount, but soon found out why it was discounted. Over time the temperature reading drops because the sensors inside are faulty and it has to be reset. When I say reset, I mean clear, thawed, and reset. It has happened twice within the first 3 years and now I am very paranoid about opening it at all. The temperature inside is actually fine, but the fan runs constantly and which causes the sensors to warm up more and the alarm goes off constantly. Because it can be reset this way, they don't want to service it, but that is several days of lost work just moving things in and out of freezers, not to mention the risk of freeze/thawing reagents. Two other labs within the same building have the same freezer and the same problem. Other than that, it is a good freezer, so hopefully, they have fixed this issue with newer models.

Our new go to brand! Most energy efficient of its kind
Frozen Sample Storage
I like the option for energy usage by the unit: either a value added energy reduction or a high performance that reduces the amount of condensation/frost buildup at the door. I also like the easy to use signal handle design of the door and the nonlocking inner doors, it allows for quick retrieval and stocking to prevent temperature loss.

Compact -80C that maintains temp well. Too deep for ease of sample retrieval.
Cold storage for samples and reagents
TSX -80C freezer is user friendly. In comparison to older models it has a small footprint. The downside to this being, the freezer is very deep. Samples not placed in a rack system are impossible to see or get to if near the back of the freezer.

Great freezer, but the monitoring system needs serious improvement.
Storage of samples
Remote monitoring system built into the freezer. It is difficult to configure the alarm system. The messages I receive each day overwhelm my mail box.

Quiet, efficient and monitored storage of precious DNA samples for the laboratory!
Protection of DNA for long term storage
The freezer has a wonderful screen on the outside of the door to monitor/chart any drops in temperature. It is also easy to organize with the metal pull-out storage trays that efficiently store multiple samples in an organized fashion. We were pleased that it comes with a lockable door to secure samples if needed.

Easy to use, touchpad interface allows you to control entry and analyze how the freezer has been performing. Very quiet and could be kept in a lab without disturbing researchers.

Tissue specimen sample storage
Very big and quiet freezer ultra low freezer. The touchscreen is very easy to use and provides a nice summary of any alerts it encounters (open door, temperature drops, etc..). The freezer is also very quiet and best of has a long 12 year warranty on the v drive compressor.
