Great column to give reproducible results. Good separation and column life.

Average Rating 4.3

Application Area:

Pharmaceuticals

Super fast shipping. Great column to give reproducible results. Good separation and column life. A bit pricy though.

Review Date: 4 Feb 2022 | Waters

Great and reliable results.

Average Rating 4.0

Application Area:

Peptides, proteins

For the analysis of peptides, I consider that it gives me very good and accurate results. For me the most important advantage of this product is not only the reliable results but also the after-sales care.

Worth using Waters Premier columns.

Average Rating 4.7

Application Area:

Biologics

Premier columns showed higher resolution and reproducible results.

Review Date: 7 Apr 2021 | Waters

Astonishing separation with maximal resolution and confidence.

Average Rating 4.7

Application Area:

LC-MS

Waters LC columns have been my choice for a long time now. When the PREMIER column was presented I finally found the absolute best solution for my LC ECD system. All previous problems disappeared, now I do not need to wash my column for 3 days to eliminate contamination from metal particles, the system is stable for a long period, and we reduce polishing gold flow cell from once a week to once a month. Peaks are narrower and I can see and quantify impurities with confidence. PREMIER column are proof that Waters is truly is pioneer in liquid chromatography, and all others follow its footprints.

Smooth method transfer and significantly lower carry-over for sticky peptides.

Average Rating 5.0

Application Area:

Peptide analysis

At our lab we were already using the Waters Acquity HSS-T3 column for the analysis of peptides with very satisfying results. For some peptides, significant carry-over was visible. To minimize carry-over, the Acquity Premier HSS-T3 column was purchased. For us, it was very improtant that the column would give similar retention times since we are analyzing a lot of peptides in one single run in a routine method. With the Acquity Premier column, the retention times were identical to the Acquity HSS-T3 column, moreover the carry over was significantly lower. Price of the Acquity Premier column is comparable to other UHPLC columns.

Significantly lower carry-over when using the Premier column.

Average Rating 5.0

Application Area:

Small molecule pharmaceutical drug analysis in biological matrices

Using the Premier column, carry-over has been significantly lower compared to it's non-Premier counterpart. Using the Premier column makes it easier to stay within carry-over criteria.

Review Date: 12 Jan 2021 | Waters

Strongly improved peak shape in comparison to non-premier columns.

Average Rating 5.0

Application Area:

Targeted metabolipidomics

In our experience this column is highly suitable for the separation of phosphates, since the metal-free design vastly reduces tailing and enabled us to obtain narrow, intensive peaks and quantify lipids at concentrations that were not accessible with other columns.

Review Date: 23 Dec 2020 | Waters

Superior peak shape compared to all other columns in our laboratory.

Average Rating 5.0

Application Area:

Analysis of metabolites and lipids from plasma and other biological samples

This column out performs all other columns in our laboratory when it comes to peak shape. Performs very well on both polar metabolites and lipids from a range of different biological matrices.

ACQUITY Premier Columns are the next evolution in the ACQUITY Column family. These columns are built on Waters' industry-leading and trusted sub-2-µm particle technologies to maximize separation performance and utilize MaxPeak High-Performance Surface (HPS) technology, reducing analyte/surface interactions.

ACQUTY Premier Columns are designed specifically for chromatographers who need to reduce variability risks and save time, while increasing recovery and sensitivity. Non-specific adsorption (NSA) of metal sensitive compounds is an unpredictable challenge, leading to long column passivation times, chromatography with large RSDs, and broad peaks that can be a challenge to detect.

Analytical workflow solutions for PFAS analyses

Environmental contamination by per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and rising concerns about its long-term impacts on the general population, have increased the urgency for wider PFAS analysis. Initially the focus was solely on environmental matrices but has now expanded into food analysis due to the risk to consumers. Accordingly, regulations and guidance documents have been released to assure the quality of water bodies, drinking water and most recently also for food and feed. Here, Waters describes the workflow of its sample-to-result approach for PFAS analysis that can be incorporated into any lab whether the focus is food, water or environmental.

Why researchers turn to reversed phase chromatography when purifying GLP-1

Tuesday, April 28 at 16:00 BST | 17:00 CEST | 11:00 EDT | 08:00 PDT

Purifying synthetic peptides is a critical step in developing advanced biotherapeutics like GLP-1 receptor agonists. Even with precise synthesis, impurities such as deletions, truncations, and chemical modifications are unavoidable, making purification essential for achieving high purity, optimal yield, and cost efficiency.

Join this SelectScience® webinar to discover why reversed-phase chromatography (RP) remains the gold standard for peptide purification and analysis. This session will be led by Bill Warren, Principal Consultant Product Manager, Waters Corporation, who has extensive experience with chromatography techniques for protein purification. He will guide you through the complete lab-scale purification process for a GLP-1 RA using optical detection, and will show how these strategies can be applied to other synthetic peptide modalities, including radio-labeled peptides, cyclic peptides, peptide antimicrobials, and more.

Key learning objectives:

  • Understand strategies for developing analytical scale biotherapeutic peptide separations.
  • Learn techniques for lab-scale preparative synthetic peptide separations and fraction analysis.
  • Explore how reversed-phase mobile phase modifiers and chemistries impact peptide separation performance.
  • Gain practical troubleshooting tips for reversed-phase peptide separations.

Who should attend?

  • Biopharmaceutical and peptide research professionals, including academics and industry scientists.
  • Biopharma outsourcing partners, such as CDMOs, CMOs, and CROs.
  • Broader biopharmaceutical industry professionals involved in development, manufacturing, or research.
