In this video, you will learn how to streamline your workflow and improve efficiency and accuracy within your sample storage by employing colored caps.

Organizing cryostorage samples can be challenging, especially if they all look the same. Color‑capped sample storage tubes can help increase efficiency by enabling quicker, more confident sample selection, reduce errors through easy visual verification of the correct sample, and streamline workflows by improving organization and batch processing before, during, and after sample handling.

Color‑capped sample storage tubes are effective across a range of applications. They make it easier to distinguish cell types, cultures, patient samples, biosafety levels, kit contents, or SOP designations. Using colored caps is a practical method for organizing samples by project, product, reagent, replicate, and other categories.

Assigning different colors to specific samples or categories supports accurate identification and organization during experimental workflows. Users can maximize organization with as many as 35 color combinations.

For example, a color system could represent biopsies from three separate organs, such as heart (yellow), lungs (blue), and kidneys (green), treated with two different drugs (white and red). Users can quickly and accurately identify samples by both drug treatment and organ, supporting more organized, error‑resistant workflows.

Whatever your application or type of experiment, Thermo Scientific Nalgene and Nunc colored cap sample storage tubes help organize and visually differentiate your samples for more efficient and consistent results.
