This PCR machine is excellent for labs needing to perform more than one type of test simultaneously

"The SmartCycler PCR machine is very versatile in that more than one PCR assays can be performed at a time. Although somewhat limited on the number of samples that can be tested the best feature is being able to do more than one test at time. The software is also very easy to learn and optimizing assay parameters is a matter of a few clicks and keystrokes. The company also provides good turnaround time for maintenance and service requests."

"The unit has performed well over the last 5 years. We have had no issues with it nor the software. Interpretation of the results has been very straight forward. Calibration and certification of the unit has been very smooth and Cepheid has made it easy."

With up to 96 independently programmable reaction sites, the SmartCycler can simultaneously run multiple experiments with different protocols and at different times. This eliminates complex advanced scheduling on larger, more costly systems as well as the need to transport samples to central facilities for analysis.
