The NIRQuest is a versatile NIR spectrometer for applications ranging from moisture detection and chemical analysis to high-resolution laser and optical fiber characterization. NIRQuest spectrometers cover the wavelength range from 900-2500 nm.
Advantages:
- Reliable, robust spectrometer with deep thermoelectric cooling down to -20 °C for low dark current
- Fast data transfer – great for applications with chemometric models
- Configurable with a range of detectors, gratings and slits for your specific application
The models are available in two different ways: custom configured and preconfigured.
When you select a custom configured spectrometer, we work with you to design the optimum configuration for your NIR measurement. We assemble the ideal combination of optical bench components, including gratings, slits and filters to deliver the performance your application demands. Our Application Sales Engineers will help you with choosing the correct components, light sources and fiber accessories.
Our preconfigured spectrometers are optimized around specific NIR applications. We offer preconfigured spectrometers for optimum response within a specific wavelength range.
NIR spectroscopy for food and agriculture
As population growth and limited arable land have strained the capacity to produce enough food, experts have stepped up efforts to explore and refine technical solutions that improve food production, quality and safety. In this application note, Ocean Insight describes how one such technology, NIR spectroscopy, helps to deliver objective data the food and agriculture industries are using to maximize quality and efficiency.
High-resolution NIR Analysis
With more detector and optical bench options available than ever, modular NIR spectrometers can be configured for high-resolution applications such as laser and optical fiber characterization.
Paper Sorting Using NIR Spectroscopy
Near infrared spectroscopy is a viable alternative to density and dynamic behavior techniques as a method for sorting paper in recycling operations. Moisture and crystallinity are among the criteria that can be used to differentiate a mixed stream of paper.
Sorting Plastic Resins Using NIR Spectroscopy
Plastic resins are composed of a range of polymer types. Similarities in the size and shape of the resins make them difficult to distinguish by sight alone. In this application note, near infrared (NIR) spectroscopy is used to sort colored resins composed of different polymers. Diffuse reflection measurements are made in the NIR region to capture distinct spectral differences resulting from the unique polymer compositions, while avoiding the detection of spectral differences arising from resin color.
