Good instrument and I can advise
Extra table and leachables
This is a ease of use product. Very rugged and the sample preparation made easy. Refuse solvents and lab can go more green

Hooked up with a Hewlett Packard GC instrument
This robotic auto-sampler is a must have for people doing extensive SPME. Make your sample solutions, and with very user-friendly software, enter in the GC run and all other extraction parameters you desire and walk away. The auto-sampler would have everything done for you without having to do it manually and wasting tons of time sitting in front of the system, seeing magical peaks appearing from the column. I must admit that after having this auto-sampler I am able to do 5 times the run I managed with a manual injector. That means 5 times faster results and 5 times more publications! So, it’s definitely worth the research fund you invest. The after sales service is fantastic and people are really happy to help you out. I strongly recommend this product.

Sample preparation steps are performed during the analysis of the preceding sample for best system utilization and highest sample throughput. Sample preparation steps are performed in a controlled and highly accurate and reproducible manner for best possible results. Every step is selected by mouse-click form a pull-down menu in the GERSTEL MAESTRO software and added to the overall GC/MS or LC/MS method.
Available sample preparation steps are:
- Derivatization and Standard addition
- Dilution and extraction
- Cooled or heated conditioning and mixing
- Sonication and Centrifugation
- Automated weighing of liquid samples and standards
- Solid Phase Extraction SPE
- Disposable Pipette Extraction DPX

Automated Sample Preparation Using the GERSTEL MPS Dual Head WorkStation
In metabolomics studies, relatively large sets of samples are processed to allow differentiation between sample types and the analytical variability must be lower than the biological variability. In order to achieve this, automating the sample preparation is a good first step, which can contribute significantly towards improving the repeatability of the total analytical procedure. This application note takes a closer look at Automated Ultrasonic Assisted Liquid Extraction and Filtration.
Fully Automated GC/MS Determination of Amino Acids
Some metabolic disorders can be diagnosed by determining amino acid concentration levels. The ideal tool for the determination of amino acids in biological matrices is gas chromatography combined with mass spectrometry (GC/MS), but in order to meet the efficiency requirements of modern diagnostic laboratories, the analytical procedure needs to
be highly automated.
