Overall, I could not be any happier with this microscope.

"This is a superbly built microscope! Comes easy to setup and has many great features. I have not had a chance to use the immersion oil lens yet, but every other objective lens has worked perfectly. I easily lose track of time while observing different slides under this microscope. The built in camera is a really nice feature; It makes it really simple to make cool videos to edit and post online."

The DS-5Mc camera head boasts excellent performance, especially in fluorescence and dark field microscopy. A CCD cooling mechanism helps create low-noise, high-contrast images, even when capturing images of dark, weakly fluorescing specimens that require longer exposure times. The DS-U1 control unit for PC connections has a USB2.0 interface, and easily forms a microscopy imaging system when coupled with application software.
