"Very good product, except for the O103 serogroup inhibition for about 50% of our strains. However, this was a known issue prior to use."

"This product does not need to be autoclaved or sterilized before use. The media is very selective and can be used to select and differentiate between different microorganisms. Great product!"

"I used chromSTEC agar for a two year long project looking for stx1 and stx2 producing e.coli in feces (wildlife, cattle) and water. Briefly, pre-enrichment of the sample in TSB, enrichment in mEHEC broth and streaking on chromSTEC agar. The media is extremely sensitive meaning I was getting more false positive than the actual positives. (I used PCR as confirmatory test)"

"This is a very useful product for analysis of environmental samples containing Shiga-Toxigenic E. coli. It is a selective and differential media that allows the user to isolate and differentiate STEC colonies from a sample."
