"We use these vials for our toxicology samples that we run on the GC/MS and the LC/MS/MS/MS. They are 11 mm glass vials with a white spot to write a number or identifier on, and an insert installed in the vial for our samples, which have a very small volume. We do several different extractions on blood and urine samples and use these vials to put the chloroform or solution that we have extracted the drugs into. The inserts are already installed, which we did not previously use, we used to have to put the inserts by hand into vials. That was a pain. These vials have the inserts at the perfect size, to where there is no evaporation with the cap on. We have tried other vials with inserts in the past and because the inserts were not tall enough, there was space between the top of the insert and the cap. This was causing evaporation of our samples. Since switching to the Microliter brand vials, we have not had ANY evaporate. These vials are wonderful and I recommend them to everyone using this type of vial."
