Simultaneous LC/MS analysis of ultra-short through long chain PFAS compounds (C1-C10) in industrial and ground water

This poster details the collaboration between Shodex and Claros Technologies to address the detection challenges posed by per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in industrial and groundwater samples. PFAS compounds, which have been in industrial use for decades, have raised serious health concerns. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has issued global PFAS advisories to monitor these substances. The challenge lies in detecting both ultra-short and long-chain PFAS simultaneously, which cannot be achieved using traditional C18 columns outlined in EPA methods. Shodex and Claros have developed a validated method for screening PFAS across a broad chain length range without the need for sample preparation.
