Adapter & UDI Primers Technical Principle
UDI technology is used to construct dual indexed libraries with unique indexes on both end of the libraries, which largely mitigates the wrong reads by filtering out the mismatch reads due to index contamination.
Performance
Reducing Index Hopping and Improving Data Accuracy
Index hopping is a phenomenon of index misassignment when multiplex samples are sequenced. UDI is highly recommended as its ability of filtering hopped reads. Test data showed that iGeneTech's UDI primers correctly reduced the index hopping rate to less than 0.1%.
