The new D8 ENDEAVOR is an advanced X-ray Diffraction (XRD) system for powder applications in industrial process optimization and quality control.
It is the newest addition to the D8 diffractometer family combining the latest advances in instrument and data-evaluation technologies with a unique sample handling and networking concept.
The system can be used stand alone in a multi-user environment, taking advantage of its huge sample changer, or integrated into a laboratory environment for fully automated operation - where the instrument is interfaced to an automated sample preparation system, which feeds the samples via a conveyor belt or robot.
The D8 ENDEAVOR is easy to operate. Besides operating the instrument PC-based with the full DIFFRAC.SUITE software, it may optionally be equipped with a touchscreen facilitating sample analysis without using the full software suite (TouchControl™). Instead the simplified loader software is provided that minimizes operator training and reduces the instrument operation to simple push-buttons.

Mineral solutions: Process and Quality Control for the Minerals & Mining Industries
This brochure outlines the importance of material characterization and analysis by X-ray fluorescence (XRF) and the quantification of minerals by powder X-ray diffraction (XRPD) in mineral and mining industries. The applications and benefits of using these techniques are demonstrated using Bruker’s lines of S2 and S8 spectrometers.
Characterization and Quantification of Australian Iron Ore and Gangue Mineral
Iron ore mining and processing corporations are facing continually growing demands to make their operation more economical and environmentally compatible. For implementation, it is necessary to control feedstock sorting, adapt beneficiation processes and tailor the chemistry of sintering products, such as iron ore pellets. The key to success is fast mineral identification and quantification using X-ray diffraction. In this application note, we describe a methodology using the D8 ENDEAVOR diffractometer to characterize iron ore and gangue minerals quickly and accurately.
