Fast, light and accurate.
Application Area: Analytical chemistry
"The digital pipette is precise and accurate. We have a purchased a number of the digital pipettes to replace mechanical pipettes to reduce repetitive strain injuries. Unlike other some other digital pipettes, it is fast, light and does not require special tips. You can save preset programs for different volumes and speeds using a quick key function."

Accurate and precise results with Sartorius Picus pipettes.
Application Area:Cell culture
"Super light and ergonomic electronic pipette, I think the lightest of all electronic pipettes I have tested. Multiple speed settings and easy to programme protocols. Used the 8-channel pipette for cell seeding, serial dilutions, and media exchange."

Essential to excellent, reproducible testing!
Application Area:Serial dilutions for various QC analyses.
"The Sartorius series of pipettes are phenomenal and outstanding when compared to equivalent micro-pipettes on the market. Our facility currently uses Sartorius and Eppendorf pipettes for analysis purposes. We frequently experience better results and more ease of use from the Sartorius pipettes when compared to the Eppendorf pipettes. The Sartorius pipettes produce more reliable dispensing and as a result, more reproducible/reliable results. Many of our scientists prefer to solely use the Sartorius pipettes over the Eppendorf and we consider them an essential piece of equipment for our facility!"

Great tool. It has changed my life allowing me to continue to pipette without pain.
Application Area:Pipetting of blood samples and reagents.
"After working in science for many years and aggravating and old injury to my thumb, I was looking for an electronic pipette that included a powered tip release and was reasonably priced. This was a tall order, but I was pleased to find the Picus pipettor from Sartorius that completely filled the requirements. There are a number of options for normal pipetting, reverse pipetting, manual pipetting, and multi-dispensing as well as the ability to adjust filling and emptying speed. Changing the volume is quick and easy. One feature that I really appreciate is the changeable filters. Because I do a lot of pipetting of blood samples it is inevitable that occasionally blood will inadvertently get pulled into the pipette. This has replaceable filters that prevent liquids from being drawn into the pipette. If blood is accidentally drawn up towards the pipette, it is stopped by the filter which is quickly changed, and you can continue on. One drawback for me is that you cannot stop the filling or emptying short of the set volume. It is all or nothing. Sometimes one needs to be able to stop the filling before it reaches the full set volume and empty the tip."

Would not purchase again.
Application Area:Tissue culture, molecular biology
"These are not easy to use and are not very reliable. It is very hard to control especially while dispensing precious samples. Manual pipettes are far superior in terms of ease of use and control. If you get a proper manual pipette and use proper ergonomics, then I see no reason to switch over. I would definitely not get these pipettes again."

Application Area:Liquid Handling
"It is easy to use. It is light which has proven beneficial for my wrists. I like the function that doesn’t require us to blow the rest out and the one with the ability to spin without the liquid going into the machine. I would recommend this product."
The award-winning Picus® is designed to revolutionize pipetting. Being the smallest and lightest electronic pipette on the market, it enables to ease the user’s workload and provides protection from repetitive strain injury (RSI). Its new generation technology, electronic brake and piston control system guarantee accurate and precise pipetting results. By guiding pipetting steps, the unique plate tracker increases reliability in microwell plate work.
These same qualities can also be found with Picus® Nxt with added features for enhanced reliability in strictly regulated laboratories.
Picus® and Picus® NxT are available in single-channel models, covering a volume range of 0.2-10 000 µl and in multichannel models from 0.2 µl to 1200 µl.
Fast execution of pipetting tasks
