The instrument was a bit confusing at first place but then was easy by knowing pumps

In my university.

I used the instrument as I needed to collect the pure anidbody and antigen complex for my project. In the beginning I faced some problems to set up the suitable buffer but after table shouting I could manage to find the best buffer and correct pH to have the best results out of devices. The instrument was a bit confusing at first place but then when I could imagine how the pumps were working was easy to understand. The purity of antibodies and antigens was very excellent and I didn't lose that much of proteins. The time I spent washing the instrument before and after my work was too long and I could say that was the main problem that it had. Any how the process of washing was mostly hands free so I could deal with it. Another thing in this process was important was the purification coupon which we had to be careful in terms of using and storing

I use the ÄKTA pure from Cytiva, along with a variety of columns attached to it, in order to purify proteins utilizing affinity, ion exchange and affinity chromatography. The machine is in constant use nearly everyday for the past 3 years showing no signs of wear so I would say it is quite robust.
