"The used demo version Interface 1010E Potentiostat before placing an order. We used it to run the electrochemical reaction to synthesize Lithium phthalocyanine (LiPc), which is metallic-organic, paramagnetic crystallites. We performed 3 different pilot runs and by the 3rd run, we were able to synthesize LiPc crystals, which were oxygen sensitive. This potentiostat provided required constant current and voltage and was easy to operate. Our run required 18 h of electrolysis and Interface 1010E provided us the graphics throughout the run. This is a compact machine that can be kept in small place. Since our electrolysis run required to be operated under the chemical hood, this machine was ideal. Based on this features, we placed an order."

"We have been using the Gamry Interface 1010E potentiostat for 3 years. The instrument is robust and we have not had any problems requiring a call to the technical service, in fact, we have never observed anything in the instrument requiring attention other than the calibration of new cables or the routine calibration we run twice a year. There is no need for "service contracts" for this instrument. The software is user friendly and Gamry has all the supplies needed to keep us up and running. We are extremely satisfied with the 1010E potentiostat and absolutely recommend it to other researchers."

"The Interface seems to be capable of providing reasonable results. Using the interface for EIS studies at low frequencies needs a Faraday cage to avoid environmental noises. Since we are working in the area of corrosion, testing coated panels by organic resin is a main part of our job. However, we didn’t receive any comments through the purchasing process that we may face the background noise issues. The ParaCell as the corrosion cell has a questionable design. The rubbers on the sample bracket were detached easily after 4 days. Also, the brackets started to show some rusted stains on it within a few days."

"The 1010E performs every technique I was interested in at a very affordable price. I actually linked two together to form a bipotentiostat, which was a seamless experience. I had a fairly unique technique that I wanted to try, so I was originally looking for a potentiostat that was easily modifiable. The experiment files are actually all adjustable with a text editor, so with a little programming experience, it's easy to manipulate the software to perform any type of potential program. The support at Gamry was even willing to program quite a bit of it for me (even after about a year of owning the instrument)!"

"The Interface 1010E Potentiostat offers a large variety options for electrochemical measurements, and a very user-friendly software for data analysis (Gamry Echem Analyst). For example, corrosion rates can be estimated from Linear Polarization resistance, Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy, and Electrochemical Frequency Modulation: the use of these different techniques allowed me to get a better understanding about the corrosion behavior of my system. Other features: it is very easy to calibrate, and it is very reliable (for example, I have carried overnight measurements using the sequence wizard regularly for 6 weeks in a row, and had absolutely no problem)."

"We're really pleased with the 1010E. The wide current range covers all our needs and the available sense lines allow all kinds of complex configurations. The software works nicely and is really clean and structured, but the Echem Analyst could be improved by adding a few more features (we were told that a new version is in the making, though). What we also really like is the excellent galvanic isolation of the unit, removing any ground loop issue in our setup. Service by the distributor C3-Analysentechnik in Germany and Gamry in the background has been stellar. One of the few companies that actually help you with complex experiments and implement new features also after the sale."
