Great results with this product and we have had it for many years!
ELISA for small molecule screening
We achieve high quality and reproducible results most of the time. We have however, on multiple occasions had the micro tubes being clogged even though proper maintenance had been performed on the instruments.

This instrument is key to enabling HT use
Used to move plates onto plate washer
This stacker is fantastic at moving stacks of plates into and out of the associated plate washer. It also de-lids plates which is a necessary component for my cell based assay plates.

Great product that is well built and never seem to have a problem with.
high throughput plate washing and reading
Biotek comes in and sets up the product then its ready to use. Very easy and any service and tech support is helpful and easy to get.

Ease of Use
Use in ELISA Assays
The product is easy to use and provides the ability to scale up the plates used in the assay due to the automation abilities of the stacker. Result are reproducible with the replicates that are run in the assays.

Quality instrument
Handling and De-lidding Plates for the Multiflo and Synergy4 Plate Reader
The stacker is consistent and never has any issues. I like the wrist action. The one thing that seems inefficient is the lidding and de-lidding I feel like there are a lot of extra movements that could save time if it was more efficient, but overall the operation never has issues and it is easy to use.

Great addition for washing multiple plates.
ELISA Development
This is a great addition to the BioTek plate washer, if you are washing more than 2-3 plates on a routine basis. It frees up your time to prepare the reagents for the next step. However, if you are running a single plate, it can get a little annoying. It needs to cycle itself before it moves the first plate and this adds time to the process. The BioStack can be attached to the washer several different ways and this may allow you to by-pass the equipment for washing a single plate.

Great instrument - will highly recommend it.
Plates coating for ELISA assay, plates washing
This is a great instrument. We use it for ELISA assays - plates coating, plates washing during assay run. Easy to use, reliable, easy to take care of. Instruments (we have 2) are used daily and we can't run ELISA assays without using them. The only thing I will change - black paint. Sometimes we saw some tiny black paint particles in my plates when we were using stand to load plates. I think silver metal will look good too - or maybe you simply need to change paint?

Great results on consistent basis with terrific ease of use.
Plate washing and coating
Biotek plate stacker has been one of the most used instruments in our company for more than 2 years. It has been an excellent value for money (including great service). It has been consistently providing us with results with minimal to no error. Due to this, our custom coated plates are one of the highest selling components that brings in more than 20% of the annual revenue.

BioStack can accommodate assay workflows for 24- to 1536-well plates. Microscope slides can be stacked for imaging using BioTek's custom slide holders. The BioTek BioStack 4 offers automated plate de-lidding and re-lidding, automating the handling of lidded microplates for sensitive cell-based assays, for complete walkaway automation.
Cost-Effective Automated Hepatotoxicity Testing Using 3D Bio-Printing
To meet the demand for increased hepatotoxicity testing, automation has been incorporated to streamline the procedure and reduce the need for large-scale manual manipulations. Typically, liquid handling systems have been large, expensive, and required placement into clean rooms for sterile processing. While this type of solution is suitable for larger core facilities, the size and cost can be prohibitive to the typical academic research lab. This application note demonstrates the ability to combine liquid handling with a novel cell imaging multi-mode reader to perform automated 3D hepatotoxicity studies, which will drastically reduce the overall costs for academic researchers.
Automation of Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease Model Assay
Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease is a common malady whose major feature is fat accumulation in the liver, which can lead to liver damage and cirrhosis. One phenotypic marker for this disease is the presence of intracellular neutral lipid droplets. An in vitro model for this phenotype uses the exposure of cells to free fatty acids to elicit the response. Here we describe the automation of the assay workflow using a BioSpa™ 8 Automated Incubator linked to a Cytation™ 5 Cell Imaging Multi-Mode Reader and a MultiFlo™ FX Microplate Dispenser.
Applied Robotics for Enhanced Throughput Options in Microscopy as Demonstrated by Automated Tissue Microarray (TMA) Imaging
Tissue microarrays (TMAs) provide a high throughput microscopy sampling format and have proven useful in many applications such as bio banking and archiving of biopsy and other tissue samples; disease diagnosis, classification and grading; quality control; and antibody optimization during assay development. In this study, TMAs were chosen as a model for demonstrating montage and stitching image optimization at high throughput using the Cytation™ 5 Cell Imaging Multimode Reader and BioStack 4 from BioTek.
