Quality check of our samples before sequencing run to check contamination
With more than 35000 citations in worlds top journals, Agilent Bioanalyzer 2100 has made its name a brand. Bioanalyzer is our first go to before loading up our samples for sequencing. Its easy to use and accuracy not only informs us about the presence of any unwanted nucleic acid contamination but also helps us to minimize it. It works on highly efficient and sensitive capillary electrophoresis principle that ensures the accuracy of our output. Although there are competitions out there that includes tapestation but not only is expensive but a time-taking process compared to Bioanalyzer.

2100 Bioanalyzer is currently the heart of our sequencing department
Analyzing NGS libraries and quality of our DNA, RNA, cfDNA, miRNA
Considering the expensiveness of NGS library preparation, we cannot simply rely on the traditional spectrophotometry ratio to check the quality of our input DNA or RNA. Before we begin sequencing, one must have a quality checkpoint to ensure quality output, and that is promised by our 2100 Bioanalyzer. This easy-to-use instrument with user-friendly software adds to our confidence of subjecting quality, right sized, and contamination free-DNA to our sequencers. We are thankful to the Agilent technologies for this life-saver instrument that undoubtedly gives us an extra edge to prevent not only time but money wastage.

Quick and easy RNA analysis, so happy we have this instrument!
Analyze DNA and RNA extraction quality
The Bioanalyzer 2100 is very useful for analyzing the quality of nucleic material. I use the instrument for assessing the success of total RNA extractions from a jellyfish model organism system, which has historically been difficult to extract material from. It's great to easily and quickly see if my extractions are good quality or not so I can plan my future lab work. Also, the machine has worked well for years with no issues!
