Ultra Biphenyl Columns
Properties: Increased retention for dipolar, unsaturated, or conjugated solutes. Enhanced selectivity when used with methanolic mobile phase. Ideal for increasing sensitivity and selectivity in LC-MS analyses particle size: 3 μm or 5 μm, spherical pore size: 100 Å carbon load: 15% endcap: fully endcapped pH range: 2.5 to 8 temperature limit: 80 °C USP phase: L11 phase category: phenyl ligand type: unique Biphenyl
Analytical Lab
Biphenyl columns offer the HPLC performance benefits of a core-shell column with a unique stationary phase that will become go-to selectivity for reversed phase method development. While water may be hard for a C18 to handle, the Biphenyl column allows diving straight into the deep end with 100 % aqueous stability. Biphenyl column was designed to be your new go-to reversed phase column.

steroids
It is useful for the separation of unsaturated steroids in our lab. It is recommended if C18 cannot resolve the problem. Some column bleeding can occur during the measurements.

LC/MS/MS Analysis of Metabolites of Synthetic Cannabinoids JWH-018 and JWH-073 in Urine
This application note presents a liquid chromatographic method that was developed to resolve a comprehensive set of metabolites of JWH-018 and JWH-073 in urine. Based on the data shown here, this method is suitable for quantification of metabolites of JWH-018 and JWH-073 to support broader research studies that positively identify clinically significant metabolites and their concentrations in urine.
Rapid Analysis of Benzodiazepines in Urine and Whole Blood Using LC/MS/MS and an Ultra Biphenyl Column
In this application note, a rapid, sensitive method for the routine analysis of benzodiazepines in urine and whole blood was developed using a simple dilute-and-shoot methodology. This method, which uses an Ultra Biphenyl LC column and an API 4000 MS/MS detector, provides a fast 4.5 minute analysis which allows efficient monitoring of a broad range of benzodiazepines at therapeutic levels.
4.5 Minute Analysis of Benzodiazepines in Urine and Whole Blood Using LC-MS/MS and an Ultra Biphenyl Column
Read this application note to learn about a fast dilute-and-shoot LC-MS/MS chromatographic method for therapeutic levels of a comprehensive list of benzodiazepines in urine and whole blood. The analysis shown here by Restek is complete in 4.5 minutes, allowing more samples to be run per shift.
