Chromeleon 7.3 CDS is an iimproved version.
Pharmaceutical analysis
Currently we are using Chromeleon 7.2 version and it has great ease of access. The main benefit of this software is compatibility with so many brands of HPLC/GC. Irrespective of brand of HPLC/GC system this software is compatible. It is true that in Chromeleon 7.2 CDS there are many challenges and bugs but with 7.3 they are claiming that all the bugs are removed and software is fine tuned. Overall, this software gives good value for money for any company since Chromeleon requires only one server for any brand of HPLC/GC.

Great software!
HPLC analysis
Chromeleon is a very powerful software for data analysis. We use it for networking our HPLC and GC data. I have been able to create custom reports with relative ease despite being a newer user.
Review Date: 4 Mar 2020 | Thermo Fisher Scientific
Great adaptive program with a few hiccups to work out.
Small molecule purification and purity analysis
Chromeleon allows for ultimate control of your instrumentation compared to competitors. Furthermore, it is not restricted to a single product manufacturer. The issues lie in the quirks of the software. Compared to 6.8 there are improvements in visual and shortcuts that were not previously available. However, there are also bugs in the inverse gradient wizard allowing only specific pumps and single configuration without excess calculation, the reporting template which seems improved but then shows glitches in instrument to instrument transfer. The company does respond to all issues and provides explanations and followup.
Review Date: 4 Mar 2020 | Thermo Fisher Scientific
Great software to adopt for labs.
Food and nutrition
Chromeleon 7 is really user friendly compared to other software like Empower and ChemStation. Creation of sequence, methods are really simple as well, compared to Empower & ChemStation.

Streamlining characterization and monitoring of oligonucleotide impurities using an Orbitrap-based LC-HRAM-MS platform
Ion-pairing reversed-phase liquid chromatography (IPRP-LC) has been established as the main chromatographic technique for the analysis of oligonucleotide therapeutics, especially when connected to mass spectrometry. However, chromatographic approaches alone still suffer from an inherent lack of selectivity.
Explore how a streamlined approach using Orbitrap-based LC-HRAM-MS platforms can be a valuable tool for the characterization and monitoring of therapeutic oligonucleotide impurities.
Implementation of the US EPA Method 524.2 for the analysis of VOCs in drinking water
Analytical testing labs play a crucial role in monitoring surface, ground, and drinking water for volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Common by-products in the processing of household and industrial products, VOCs can contaminate water sources, potentially harming the environment and public health. Discover how the Teledyne LABS Tekmar Lumin Purge and Trap (P&T) concentrator paired with the AQUATek LVA autosampler, along with Thermo Scientific™ ISQ™ 7610 MS, and TRACE™ 1610 GC system effectively adhere to U.S. EPA Method 524.2 for analyzing volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in drinking water. This advanced setup ensures precise quantitation with superior method linearity, detection limits, and accuracy, meeting stringent regulatory requirements for environmental testing labs.
Trace analysis of volatile organic compounds in wastewater according to US EPA Method 624.1
Thermo Fisher Scientific demonstrates an analytical method that meets the requirements outlined in US EPA Method 624.1 for the quantitation of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in wastewater, using the Teledyne LABS Tekmar Lumin Purge and Trap (P&T) concentrator paired with the AQUATek LVA autosampler system along with a Thermo Scientific™ ISQ™ 7610 mass spectrometry (MS) system coupled with a Thermo Scientific™ TRACE™ 1610 gas chromatograph (GC) and Thermo Scientific™ Chromeleon™ Chromatography Data System (CDS). Sensitive determination of hexavalent chromium in drinking water using a compact IC system
Chromate and dichromate have an oxidation state of +6 and therefore are colloquially known as hexavalent chromium, Cr(VI). Hexavalent chromium is a strong oxidizing, toxic, and potentially carcinogenic agent, and is therefore a regulated compound. Thermo Fisher Scientific demonstrates the determination of 10 ng/L to 200 ng/L hexavalent chromium in a municipal drinking water sample and a synthetic HIW sample, which approximates the composition of a typical municipal water sample, according to modified US EPA Method 218.7 and AU179 on a Dionex™ Inuvion ion chromatography (IC) system.
Polysorbate 80 profiling by HPLC with mass and charged aerosol detection
In this application note, Thermo Fisher Scientific proposes an HPLC-based approach to monitor the characteristics of PS 80 samples that provide operational simplicity while generating a high degree of information.
Complete workflow for determining the content of nevirapine and related impurities
In both research and development and quality control pharmaceutical laboratories, determining the content of an active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) and its related impurities are typical analyses. While it is common to apply different methods for assay and impurity determination for one API, for instance in many pharmacopoeia monographs, in practice it is preferred to combine both analyses into one single run. Using a software assisted method development approach is hereby a very practical tool to speed up the method development process to save time and resources.
Quality control of oligonucleotides with a single quadrupole mass spectrometer
In this application note, Thermo Fisher Scientific presents two workflows for data analysis. Both use the peak area of UV and MS detection for determining the relative abundance of the analyte within the sample. However, the first workflow determines the identity of the analyte by its most intense m/z species. The second one uses deconvolution of the mass spectrum for mass determination and analyte identification.
Routine Analysis of Polar Pesticides in Water at Low Levels by Ion Chromatography
The analysis of polar ionic pesticides in surface and drinking water as well as food and beverages has become a controversial issue in recent years. The development of genetically modified organism (GMO) crops tolerant to glyphosate (N-(phosphonomethyl)glycine) and glufosinate ((RS)-2-amino4-(hydroxy(methyl)phosphonoyl)butanoic acid), for example, promoted the use of these broad spectrum herbicides. In addition, glyphosate is used as a crop desiccant and to suppress weeds in parks and at roadsides. Consequently, polar pesticides are found in foods as residues and in the environment as contaminants of surface waters and soils.
Continuous Air Monitoring
