Great column choice for LC method development
Small molecule analysis
The Cortecs C18 (1.6 µm) was an excellent choice for my UHPLC RP method covering a wide range of drugs and metabolites. Good separation and peak shape!

I can say that this is an excellent column for complex sample analysis of glycosphingolipids
Analysis of Glycosphingolipids
This column provides excellent and reproducible LC-MS chromatogram for my glycosphingolipids analysis. In addition, I am getting very narrow peaks which increases my peak capacity. This could be due to the very small particles (1.6 um) and core-shell type silica particles it has.

Really good quality column, It´s a keeper!
Hormone assay
Needed to develop a RP UV method, had one week from start to finish. I tried a few columns before I decided to contact Waters. Waters sent me a CORTECS C18 and the results was amazing. Perfect symmetry and repeatability for a method that otherwise needed more time to refine. Saved me a lot of time for this project.

Great addition to the column line-up!
Agricultural Chemistry
The Cortecs T3 column has provided excellent separation of mixed polarity compounds. The column, as expected, has provided excellent selectivity for moderately polar compounds. This is a great column to add to your method development screen!!
Review Date: 9 Sept 2016 | Waters
Very good separation of Peptide impurities!
Purity of Peptides and small molecules in complex matrices
The column is easy to use. Good stability at high temperature and low pH, not bad batch reproducibility and relative fast column equilibration (CSH C18 little faster). We want to see next time the stability with pH 6-8. Very happy to work with the new CORTECS Columns!
Review Date: 2 Sept 2016 | Waters
Good results in performing drugs monitoring
Pharmacokinetics and metabolism of drugs
The product is of great quality and retention time and pressure are optimal.

UPLC separation for the analysis of cannabinoid content in cannabis flower and extracts
As the legalization of cannabis for both medicinal and recreational use continues to advance, the need for simple, reliable analytical methods for the analysis of these products is desired by many parties. In this application note, Waters present the modification of a simple isocratic HPLC separation of 16 cannabinoids to a separation under ULC conditions.

A comparison of Extraction Techniques in Bioanalysis and Forensic Toxicology Analyses
In this application note, a comparison was performed between Oasis PRiME HLB SPE, SLE and LLE in both plasma and urine matrices for bioanalysis and forensic toxicology. In plasma, 22 comonly analyzed pharmaceuticals, steroids, and drugs of abuse were extracted using the three aforementioned methods and the results were compared. In urine, 23 drugs of abuse representing opioids, stimulants, benzodiazepines, and synthetic cannabinoid metabolites were tested for forensic toxicology analysis.
Particle Selectivity Difference Between CORTECS C8 and BEH C8 Columns
Structurally similar compounds can be difficult to separate, making the development of rapid chromatographic methods for them very challenging. Changing the column stationary phase is one important tool to provide increased resolution. using smaller and/or solid-core particles can improve efficiency. However, another source of increased resolution can be the selectivity difference inherent in stationary phases. While it's most common to vary the bonded phase chemistry, selectivity differences may also be achieved by varying the base particles.
Determination of Beta Agonists in Animal Tissue and Urine
Beta-adrenergic receptor agonists are synthetic compounds that mimic some of the effects of naturally-occuring compounds by binding to beta-receptors on the surface of cells within the muscle, fat, and other tissues of animals. Some beta-agonists are used in human medicine for the treatment of conditions such as asthma, but they have also been used in livestock production to enhance growth and alter body composition.
LC-MS/MS Analysis of Urinary Benzodiazepines and Z-drugs via a Simplified, Mixed-Mode Sample Preparation Strategy
This application note describes a rapid and simplified solid phase extraction protocol and LC-MS/MS method for the analysis of urinary benzodiazepines and metabolites for forensics toxicology use.
Solid Phase Extraction and Analysis of Coenzyme Q10 from Plasma Using Oasis PRiME HLB for Clinical Research
CoQ10 is a unique hydrophobic molecule that is a key component in ATP synthesis. In this application note, the efficient extraction and analysis of CoQ10 from plasma samples is detailed.
Selecting a Reversed-Phase Column for the Peptide Mapping Analysis of a Biotherapeutic Protein
A chromatographic peptide mapping method must provide adequate resolution and recovery of a broad set of peptides if it is to be used in the quality analysis of a biotherapeutic protein. In this application note, a range of reversed phase columns by Waters are analysed for their applicability to peptide mapping, demonstrating high peak capacity separations.
Determination of Isoflavones in Dietary Supplements: A Comparison of Mass Detection with UV Detection
This study demonstrates that in the analysis of complex samples, such as plant extracts, the use of mass detection greatly reduces the interferences from co-eluting compounds. Also, time-consuming troubleshooting for out of specification results are reduced, which will in turn improve overall lab productivity and analytical data quality.
Using UPLC-MS/MS for the Determination of cTHC in Preserved Oral Fluid
The requirement to analyse drugs at low levels in oral fluid has become an important requirement for many forensic laboratories around the world. Cannabis is one of the most widely used illicit substances and analysis of cTHC in saliva can indicate active cannabis consumption. This application note demonstrates how the Xevo TQ-S can be applied with the right sensitivity for such analyses.
