Good result
enzymatic assay
The instrument works very well, it is easy to manage and to program. The solid structure and easy way to use it make me feel I can trust it completely even if I need to use it for long experiments.

Instrument robustness makes the Co-Mix an excellent long term investment
Attaching proteins to nanoparticles
The machine is a robust, reliable and simple to use. I attach proteins to the surface of nanoparticles, which can be challenging to perform. Compared to other shakers/mixers I have used, the Co-Mix gives me confidence that I can carry out protein-nanoparticle reactions under reproducible conditions. The reliable results obtained using the Co-Mix have allowed me to quickly gather data, and I looks set to have a publication in the very near future.

Improves reproducibility, easy to use, very robust
Direct binding assays
I use the Co-Mix shaker to properly prepare 96-well plates for a direct binding assay. This involves adsorbing proteins on the bottom of the plate and multiple washing steps with different solutions. By the data I achieved I can confirm its positive effect on the reproducibility of my experiments. The error bars in my data have been 3-times smaller, since I started to use Co-Mix shaker to help me out with all those long washing steps involved in the assay. Personally I can say that it gives me sense of security, and a feeling of work-well-done when I know that I treated my samples exactly in the same way as I always do. With using Co-Mix shaker I can say I did maximum to maintain reproducibility and minimise human-handling factor - and my results are the proof of it.

Mixing High Viscosity Solutions with the Vitl Co-Mix Laboratory Mixer
The viscosity of a solution has a significant effect on the mixing efficiency of an orbital mixer. Viscous liquids such as glycerol and polyethylene-glycol (PEG) are widely used as a non-aqueous mixing solvent for drugs, vaccines and dyes, or as a stabilizing agent in protein solutions. This application note examines the performance of the Vitl Co-Mix when used to mix solutions with a high concentration of glycerol in different microplates and tubes.
