ACQUITY UPLC® BEH C18 and C8 Columns

ACQUITY UPLC® BEH C18 and C8 columns were designed to be the universal columns of choice for most UPLC® separations by providing the widest pH range. They incorporate trifunctional ligand bonding chemistries which produce superior low pH stability and ultra-low column bleed. This low pH stability is combined with the high pH stability of the 1.7 µm BEH particle to deliver the widest usable pH operating range. In addition, these…

Good efficiency, very robust column.

Average Rating 5.0

Application Area:

Analyze azo dyes in textile samples

We currently use BEH C18 1.7 um 2,1x100mm columns to analyze textile samples searching for azo dyes. We assess textile samples to know if they comply with current European in force legislation. These columns are very robust and we get very reproducible results week by week. We analyze near 100 samples in a week. It is very satisfying to work with such products.

A go to column.

Average Rating 5.0

Application Area:

environmental analysis.

Very robust column that serves well over time. Especially if you take care of it (a good cleaning especially after highly concentrated samples). A very much go to column, one of the most versatile columns I've used for various pharmaceutical analyses in an aquatic (environmental) analysis.

Best UHPLC column ever.

Average Rating 4.7

Application Area:

Chromatographic separation of persistant organic pollutants

Some colleagues suggested this column to me because of its easy set-up and Amazing peak shape and resolution. I used it for just a few months and I can confirm their opinion. This is the best column that I ever used. It is a little expensive but its performance is priceless.

BEH columns are great for analytical analysis.

Average Rating 4.7

Application Area:

Analytical chemistry

Waters BEH columns are very robust and easy to use. I run ~2000 samples on the same column, and the performances of the column are very reproducible. I usually run in-house standard mix to evaluate the performance of the column and the UPLC system to assure the experimental results. In all, the BEH column can give very reproducible results with retention time shift within 0.02min, which is very important for any analysis.

These bonding chemistries and particle synthesis innovations produce the sharpest peaks, highest efficiencies and maximum MS sensitivities.

High Throughput Regulatory Analysis of Phthalates and Parabens in Cosmetics and Personal Care Products, using UPLC with Mass Dectection

Phthalates and parabens are extensively used as preservatives and stabilizing agents in cosmetics and personal care products. Many are considered as hazardous, affecting the reproductive system and possibly carcinogenic. Many manufacturers are developing and labeling cosmetic and personal care products ‘free-from’ phthalates and parabens. This poster considers the method development, sample extraction and mass spectral analysis of parabens, phthalates, and triclocarben using UPLC coupled to a novel mass detector.

An Improved QuEChERS Method for UPLC-MS/MS Determination of Multiresidue Mycotoxins in Grains

Mycotoxins are toxic compounds produced by molds or other fungi that can grow on foodstuffs intended for domestic animal or human consumption. Ingestion of food containing part-per-billion concentrations of some mycotoxins may cause severe illness. In this poster, an evaluation of the QuEChERS method is presented for the determination of mycotoxins in whole grain wheat, maize and rice flours.
