they are GREAT, ease of use, easy to maintain.
Rating: 5.0

  • Application Area: Immunology

"The DXI 600 is the work horse of our immunology department. we have 3 of them, 2 on the automation line and one stand alone for maternal screens. The DXI for maternal screens is one of the original DXI produced for production and is still going. they are user friendly both hardware and software. Staff are very comfortable with them and they’re easy to train new staff. They are easy to trouble shoot and to work on. We continue to add new assays to them because we know the instruments can handle the workload. "

  • Application Area:analysing analytes in samples

"it is good for few analytes but not very good for others. Such as Estradiol 2. We are having lots of issues with it. The controls are way jumpy and there is no explanation from company... "

Why have 50 Reagent spaces on board? To provide the flexibility you want.

With up to 50 reagents on-board, the UniCel DxI 600 Access Immunoassay System enables you to have the flexibility to run both routine and specialized tests with amazing simplicity. The DxI 600 allows laboratories to decrease process steps and improve turn around time - with astounding ease of use. The DxI 600 uses the same reagents as other UniCel Access systems, so your laboratory can deliver consistent patient results, no matter which Beckman Coulter immunoassay system performs the test.

UniCel® DxI 600 Access® Immunoassay System Features:

  • A technology continuum and identical reagents guarantee consistent patient results
  • Onboard capacity of 50 refrigerated reagent packs enhance flexibility — configure the system menu to match your testing requirements
  • Large on-board reagent capacity simplifies reagent management
  • Bar-coded, liquid, ready-to-use reagents – no reagent preparation
  • Standardized design of reagent packs across UniCel Access immunoassay systems

Excellent correlation of results across platforms

  • A broad menu accross a wide variety of disease states enables your laboratory to consolidate workstations and recapture testing currently being sent out
Proven chemiluminescent detection delivers excellent precision and sensitivity with a broad dynamic range
  • Rapid assay kinetics improve turn-around times
  • System supports mutliple assay protocols designed so assay performance is optimized
  • Magnetic particle separation with enhanced chemiluminescent detection delivers exceptional clinical performance

Streamlined sample handling

  • Large on-board capacity of up to 60 samples at once with continuous loading capability streamlines your sample processing
  • Sample Racks are compatible with all UniCel systems, reducing sample handling across multiple systems
  • Sample Racks can be loaded directly from the centrifuge, reducing manual processes and improving turn around times
  • Routine sample loading can be interrupted to load STAT samples quickly
  • "Point-in-space" pipetting technology aligned with CLSI guidelines allows integration with laboratory automation systems
  • System releases the primary tube after creating an aliquot allowing for more efficient processing of samples

On-board aliquot capability

  • Automatically creates aliquots based on the volume of requested tests
  • Load reagents and all consumables ‘on-the-fly’, without using the console computer or pausing the instrument, minimizing operator intervention

Easy to use Windows based software

  • Large volume supplies maximize walkaway capability
  • Innovative system delivers powerful efficiency
  • Intuitive operator interface, with touch screen capability, maximizes efficiency
  • Auto-matched pipettors work in parallel to deliver sample and reagent into the reaction vessels -- and achieves a peak throughput of 200 tests per hour
