Description

Confidently perform Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing (AST) of clinically relevant non-fastidious Gram-negative isolates on a single comprehensive AST panel. Generate clinically impactful data, detect emerging resistance, and help guide timely and accurate antimicrobial therapy by utilising micro-broth dilution - the gold standard1 phenotypic method for AST.

This convenient panel meets EUCAST breakpoints for a broad range of relevant antimicrobials, including Aztreonam, Levofloxacin, Meropenem, Piperacillin / Tazobactam, Tobramycin and Trimethoprim / Sulfamethoxazole.

Key Features & Product Benefits

  • Deliver consistent turnaround times to support earlier clinical decision-making and targeted therapy, particularly in critical infections such as sepsis.
  • Monitor susceptibility among critical Gram-negative isolates with full-range, accurate MIC values for a broad array of clinically relevant antimicrobics.
  • For ultimate flexibility automated or manual read options are available with one panel; compatible with all Sensititre™ instrumentation options - designed to be modular in order to meet the unique needs of individual lab space, workload, and budget requirements.
  • Eliminate inventory control concerns with extended shelf life (24-months), and room temperature storage.
  • Individual packaging allows testing of one sample at a time, with reduced waste.

From resistance detection to actionable AST: Navigating the changing landscape of Gram-negative resistance.

Antimicrobial resistance among Gram-negative organisms continues to present significant challenges for clinical microbiology laboratories. As resistance mechanisms evolve and new antimicrobial therapies become available, laboratories need to consider how best to translate resistance detection into clinically relevant antimicrobial susceptibility results.

Join Professor Laurent Dortet and Professor Axel Hamprecht, internationally recognized experts in antimicrobial resistance and clinical microbiology, for a practical discussion on the evolving landscape of Gram-negative resistance and its implications for antimicrobial susceptibility testing (AST).

The speakers will explore current and emerging resistance mechanisms, including carbapenem resistance, and discuss what resistance-mechanism detection can—and cannot—tell the laboratory. They will examine the complementary role of phenotypic AST and MIC determination, particularly when managing challenging multidrug-resistant organisms and newer antimicrobial treatment options.

Through practical examples and case-based discussion, the webinar will also consider how laboratories can adapt their AST strategies as resistance patterns, antimicrobial formularies, and breakpoint requirements evolve.

The session will conclude with an expert discussion and live Q&A, providing attendees with an opportunity to put their questions directly to Professors Dortet and Hamprecht.

Register to explore how the clinical microbiology laboratory can move from identifying resistance to generating actionable susceptibility information in an increasingly complex Gram-negative landscape.
