Great separation but requires training to use.

"This product is a great HPLC but it does require chromatography experience and technical training to understand the instrument and how to troubleshoot. This is a two pump system which basically means double the troubleshooting and instrument care. You need to purge 3 separate compartments for effective operation when solvents are changed. Also, the column and all lines are very prone to clogs."

"Thermo's RSLC system is the equivalent system of Waters' UPLC. This system is easy to convert conventional HPLC to RSLC applications which is used for high pressure HPLC analysis. This system is very robust for continuous analysis with very low input just like normal HPLC systems."

Best nanoLC to have infront of Thermo instruments.
Application Area:Nanoflow LC -MS for proteomics
"I used Proxeon nanoLC before, compared to that the Dionex ultimate 3000 nanoRSLC is far better in many ways in terms of reproducibility, issues with switching valves (much less), running a longer experiment (5hrs) is feasible. Its performance is similar to Waters nanoACQUITY but better in terms of fraction collection option within autosampler and multiple plate options. Since this LC software (Chromeleon) is controlled by Xcalibur, I didn't see a lot of issues with controlling LC methods. It also allows user defined programs for sample loading so I could save precious samples. I have used this LC for the past 8 months constantly, I didn't come across any issues, no calibration needed except when we prepare fresh solvents. We had good on-site training and good service from Unity lab. I only wish it had extended heater arm closest to the source of mass spec so that I could avoid an external heater. I think this LC system is priced at the same level as famous brands."
