Introducing a vacuum filtration system that makes sample preparation easy: the EMD Millipore Samplicity filtration system with Millex Samplicity membrane filters.

With the Samplicity® filtration system and Millex Samplicity® membrane filters, EMD Millipore has transformed sample preparation forever.

Advantages of the EMD Millipore Samplicity filtration system include:
• Higher throughput with simultaneous vacuum filtration of up to eight samples
• Ergonomic alternative to syringe filters
• Easy sample preparation of even highly viscous or particulate-laden mixtures
• Millex Samplicity membrane filters provide long-trusted quality with low extractables and low analyte binding
• Choose the unit color to fit your lab—bold blue or glossy green

Applications of the EMD Millipore Samplicity filtration system include sample preparation for:
• Dissolution testing
• High-pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC)
• Ultra-high performance liquid chromatography (UHPLC or UPLC®)
• Liquid chromatography – mass spectrometry (LCMS)

Faster Sample Filtration for HPLC with a Vacuum-Driven Multi-Sample Device

Sample prefiltration is an important process that removes contaminants from samples for High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) prior to analysis. This application note describes the development of the Samplicity® G2 Filtration system to reduce hands-on time associated with preparing multiple samples and provide a simple, ergonomic workflow. It details data which shows that the Samplicity® G2 Filtration system gives a time saving of least 28% when preparing eight samples.

The Samplicity® System Delivers High-Performance Multi-sample Filtration While Streamlining Preparation of Chromatography Samples

The Samplicity® filtration system is shown in this note to streamline chromatographic sample preparation. The system enables simultaneous vacuum filtration of up to eight samples. The data shows that the system facilitates preparation of chromatography samples with high recovery, low extractables and very low passage of particulate impurities.

The Samplicity® System Delivers High-Performance Multi-sample Filtration While Streamlining Preparation of Chromatography Samples

The Samplicity® filtration system has helped researchers streamline chromatographic sample preparation in order to match the speed and throughput requirements of their analytical separations such as high/ultrahigh performance liquid chromatography (HPLC /UHPLC). An easy-to-use alternative to syringe filters, the Samplicity® system enables simultaneous vacuum filtration of up to eight samples. Even difficult-to-filter samples with high viscosity or particulates can be processed in seconds. The data here shows that the Samplicity® system facilitates preparation of chromatography samples with high recovery, low extractables and very low passage of particulate impurities.

The Samplicity® Filtration System Streamlines Chromatography Sample Preparation

In this application note EMD Millipore compare sample filtration, prior to chromatographic separation, through hydrophilic polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) MillexR syringe filters with a 10 mL syringe to 0.45 µm hydrophilic PTFE Millex Samplicity® filters using the Samplicity filtration system. EMD Millipore’s Samplicity sample preparation system enables filtration of up to 8 samples directly into standard HPLC vials using vacuum driven filtration. The filtration speed for three different samples with varying composition and viscosity and cross-contamination of filtrates when processing multiple samples at one time are evaluated.

Improve Your Sample Prep Workflow with the Samplicity Filtration System from EMD Millipore

Watch this video to learn about the Samplicity® Filtration System from EMD Millipore, an innovative new technology that provides a convenient, high throughput alternative to syringe-tip filters when preparing samples for chromatography. In this video Jason Blodgett discusses how the current challenges faced during sample preparation for HPLC can be overcome using the new Samplicity Filtration System. Jason demonstrates how quick and easy the system is to use.

The Samplicity Challenge

At Pittcon 2013 Celia Landers hosted the Samplicity Challenge, during which a number of show attendees were asked to compare EMD Millipore’s new Samplicity® Filtration System with existing syringe-tip filtration methods. Watch this video to see how they got on and hear what they think about this new technology for preparing chromatography samples.

New Samplicity® Filtration System Breaks Free from Routine

Watch this video from Pittcon 2011 to see a demonstration of the EMD Millipore Samplicity® filtration system which can filter up to 8 samples prior to chromatography. This vacuum-based system reduces waste by up to 60% and is up to 30-40 times faster than syringe filtration. The Teflon-based membranes are compatible with both HPLC and UHPLC, and offer low analyte binding and broad chemical compatibility with low extractables as measured by HPLC/UV and MS.
