Versatile qPCR instrument that is always ready for the task.
Molecular Microbiology
This product is a very flexible option to do any and all qPCR analyses. From very simple 1 target assays to 5+ targets assays, and from 96-well to 384-well to OpenArray plates to Array cards, this instrument does it all. The instrument is very easy to use, even allowing for use without a connected computer. I enjoy knowing that 1 computer can handle multiple QuantStudios, so if space is ever a consideration, this may come in handy. When we have issues, Instrument Support is always a call and usually a next-day service away to handle our concerns. Instrument support has always been professional to answer even the silliest of inquiries and explain everything they find and do.

Easy to use high-throughput genotyping platform.
Pharmacogenetic testing
The system is very easy to use. You can train a novice how to use it in under a week! It offers flexible high-throughput genotyping. Depending on your assay format you can test between 24 and 192 samples in a ~4h run. The speed and cost-effectiveness of this RT-PCR genotyping system greatly exceed those of the sequencing assays. However, its reproducibility is slightly lower than the reproducibility of the sequencing assays. Allelic dropout is rare but noticeable. Simple maintenance.

Maximize throughput with minimal resources
Increase your throughput by as much as 32-fold by running 4 Applied Biosystems™ OpenArray™ plates in a single run on the Applied Biosystems™ QuantStudio™ 12K Flex system. It's the equivalent of 32 traditional 384-well qPCR plates or 12,000 data points.
Push your throughput even more
When equipped with the OpenArray block, a single 9700 thermal cycler and the QuantStudio 12K Flex Applied Biosystems™ OpenArray™ AccuFill™ System, the QuantStudio 12K Flex system can produce up to 110,000 data points or more in an eight-hour day.
Reduce startup time and hands-on time
Start a 12,000 data point experiment typically in 20 minutes or less.
