Reading fluorescence and luminescence on 96 multi well plate
I use GloMax Discover to analyse the effect of compounds on my cells. I have a limited amount of cells, being primary cells so I need high sensitivity and to optimize experiment. With GloMax Discover I can read in same experiment and same well luminescence and fluorescence to analyse viability and cyotoxitcty due to my treatment. The instrument is really very user friendly and it is very sensitive even with low cell amount. I truly recommend it.

Multiplexed Measurement of Protein Levels, Transcriptional Activation, and Cell Viability
Cellular stress responses often involve changes in the stability of a critical regulatory protein, followed by downstream modulation of specific transcriptional targets. This application note describes a multiplexed assay of protein level, transcriptional activation, and cell viability in the same well using NanoDLR™ and CellTiter Fluor™ Assays on the GloMax® Discover System. It also demonstrates how multiplexed measurements of protein abundance, gene expression, and cell viability can greatly increase the amount of information obtained from a single sample.
Detection of HIF1α Expression at Physiological Levels Using NanoLuc® Luciferase and the GloMax® Discover System
This application note demonstrates the utility of NanoLuc® Luciferase and the GloMax® Discover System for measuring gene expression at physiologically relevant levels – using hypoxia inducible factor 1 alpha expression (HIF1α) as an experimental system. It also shows that the demonstrate detection with the GloMax® Discover System. It finds that the GloMax® Discover System coupled with the NanoLuc® luciferase technolog
A Flexible Workflow for Automated Bioluminescent Kinase Selectivity Profiling
Kinase profiling is a necessary process to confirm inhibitor selectivity and assess off-target activity. The arduous task of optimizing kinase reactions and maintaining a library of enzymes often results in the outsourcing of kinase profiling activities. This poster demonstrates how ready-to-use Kinase Selectivity Profiling Systems (KSPS) combined with easy-to-use instrumentation and automated data analysis supports a streamlined workflow to enable quick and efficient in-house kinase profiling.
A Homogenous Bioluminescent System for Measuring GTPase, GAP and GEF Activities
GTPases play a major role in various cellular functions such as cell signaling, cell proliferation, cell differentiation, cytoskeleton modulation and cell motility. Deregulation or mutation of these proteins results in serious pathological conditions. Targeting GTPases and their regulators have been challenging due to lack of convenient assays. This poster demonstrates the use of a homogenous bioluminescent assay (GTPase/GAP/GEF-Glo) system to analyze these proteins in a simple, convenient “add-mix-read” format, overcoming the challenges in analyzing activities of GTPases and their regulatory proteins, GTPase Activating Proteins (GAP) and Guanine Nucleotide Exchange Factors (GEF).
Measuring the Output of the CytoTox-Fluor™ Cytotoxicity Assay on the GloMax® Discover System
This application note describes the protocol for measuring fluorescence using the GloMax® Discover System with the CytoTox-Fluor™ Cytotoxicity Assay. The GloMax® Discover System in combination with the CytoTox-Fluor™ Cytotoxicity Assay provides a convenient, rapid and sensitive procedure for determining the number of dead cells in cell populations. Fluorescence correlates with the presence of a distinct protease activity associated with cytotoxicity and loss of membrane integrity.
Measuring the ADCC Reporter Bioassay, Complete Kit (WIL2-S) Signal on the GloMax® Discover System
This application note describes the protocol for measuring luminescence using the GloMax® Discover System with the ADCC Reporter Bioassay Complete Kit (WIL2-S). Antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity (ADCC) is a mechanism of action of antibodies through which virus-infected or other diseased cells are targeted for destruction by components of the cell-mediated immune system, such as natural killer cells. The GloMax® Discover System used in conjunction with the ADCC Reporter Bioassay provides an optimized bioluminescent procedure for quantifying biological activity on pathway activation by therapeutic antibody drugs in an ADCC mechanism of action (MOA) assay.
