Nice interface and very easy to use
Quantification of nucleic acids
Our lab demoed a unit for a week. We ran about 300 DNA samples using the spectrophotometer feature. We loved it. The interface was easy to use. The auto run feature made running 300 samples just a little bit easier. We didn’t have to do any reruns because of the column breaking. Was definitely a step up from our 20 year-old Nanodrop that has served us well. We haven’t purchased the instrument but five stars for sales care in general. The team was very helpful and did not hesitate to give us a demo unit for a week. The price point is what you would expect for an instrument like this.

I use the DeNovix fluorimeter daily in our molecular biology laboratory for DNA quantification, particularly within NGS workflows (16S metagenomics) and library preparation. The instrument has proven to be extremely reliable and precise, especially when working with the dsDNA Broad Range and High Sensitivity kits, allowing us to cover a wide range of concentrations without the need to change platforms. One aspect that I appreciate greatly is the reproducibility of the data; even with complex samples or high concentrations, the results are consistent and stable, which is essential to ensure the quality of the libraries to be sequenced. From an operational standpoint, it is very simple and quick to use, the setup is immediate, the software is intuitive, and it allows smooth workflow even with high numbers of samples. Utilizzo il fluorimetro DeNovix quotidianamente nel nostro laboratorio di biologia molecolare per la quantificazione del DNA, in particolare nell’ambito di workflow NGS (16S metagenomica) e preparazione di librerie. Lo strumento si è dimostrato estremamente affidabile e preciso, soprattutto lavorando con il kit dsDNA Broad Range e High Sensitivity, permettendoci di coprire un ampio range di concentrazioni senza necessità di cambiare piattaforma. Un aspetto che apprezzo molto è la riproducibilità dei dati, anche su campioni complessi o con concentrazioni elevate, i risultati sono coerenti e stabili, cosa fondamentale per garantire la qualità delle librerie da sequenziare. Dal punto di vista operativo è molto semplice e rapido da utilizzare, il setup è immediato, il software è intuitivo e consente di lavorare in modo fluido anche con elevati numeri di campioni.

Love this all in one instrument

This series is a game changer for low- volume as I recently extracted RNA from guar leave and the amount detected earlier was a bit skeptical but after quantification over DS-11, I got more clearer picture of purity and quantity. Also there's no dilution needed for concentrated plant lysates, preventing precious samples from too many messy columns. The availability of internet browsing is crazy, like if I forgot my phone while going to CIF room and I need to quickly look for the appropriate certain detail of the plasmid or certain amount related query with simply a Wi-Fi connection I can do that in the machine itself. The applications alignment of the display makes it look like a phone, as for genZ it really makes it even cooler to use and align data properly for my experiments. I recently extracted RNA and the amount in old NanoDrop was questionable as whole experiment went well, I checked it again with this machine and the amount increased with proper ratios. Overall I really like the instrument especially for its accuracy. I'll look forward to using it more often summarizing my experiments due to its handiness.

The DS-11 is a great spec, easy to use and easy to clean. You need to clear the data cache on it every so often. The one drawback is the price, they are incredibly expensive.
