"A fantastic machine. The DS-11 FX+ is able to quickly measure DNA and protein concentration. Of course, the easy thing to do is to compare this to the ThermoFisher Nanodrop. The Nanodrop may be fast, but the DS-11 FX+ is even faster. The DS-11 FX+ blanks in a couple of seconds and gives sample concentration readings in one or two seconds. It also gives more precise readings (three decimals instead of one when measuring DNA concentration). The DS-11 FX+ also seems to be more accurate and consistent when giving protein concentration readings. Best of all, I have yet to see a broken column error or bubble error. My lab ordered one for everyone to use and now I am choosing this machine every time I need to quickly measure concentrations. One last comment that I have is I like how it comes in fun colors. We have the Fire Red color and it looks like a race car and I think it is fun."
