DRG's Chromagar Salmonella Plus is an easy to use product from preparation to plating and reading. Using it for testing environmental samples aids in confidently being able to distinguish presumptive Salmonella isolates due to the color exhibited by the colonies. However, I would like to see if there is some documentation available of what other types of organisms not only grow on this media, but also exhibit the same color reaction as Salmonella. Regardless of that, I would recommend this product to other labs.
