Great instrument, the software needs an upgrate to be more intutive and user friendly

We receive high quality results with the instrument but the software is a bit confusing to use. I wish the instrument worked with Chromeleon. Xcaliber has too many different nodes to wade through. I also wish the calibration would last longer so we didn't have to calibrate every week.

Orbitrap Fusion is the best instrument for proteomics and metabolomics studies, it gives me high quality and reproducible results. It is user friendly, easy to handle, data acquisition software is very easy to use. Rating for ease of use is worth five stars, after sales care within servicing period is good but after service period over it is a little bit careless about servicing the instrument, Value for money is very costly so most of research centers unable to buy this instrument.

The new instrument features enhanced sensitivity resulting in improved analyte detection, characterization and quantitation, enabling scientists to perform more comprehensive sample analyses faster and with better accuracy than ever before.

This application note describes a method for mass-analysis and top-down characterisation of a monoclonal antibody, conducted on a modified Orbitrap Lumos mass spectrophotometer. LC-MS analysis was performed on the intact monoclonal antibody, the IdeS sub-units and the reduced heavy chain product. ETD HD, UVPD and CID top-down fragmentation modes were applied to obtain the optimal sequence coverage.

This application note describes the development of a multi-purpose intact protein standard for LC, LC-MS, and LC-MS/MS quality control and application development. Quality and stability of the selected proteins were verified by SDS-PAGE, UV HPLC, infusion-MS and LC-MS, and MS/MS and top-down data was analysed with Thermo Fisher Scientific software packages. Ultra-Fast Analysis of Allergens using Capillary Electrophoresis Coupled to Mass Spectrometry and UVPD

The main goal of this work was to develop a simple and fast strategy allowing simultaneously the identification of allergens and the authentication of fish species. The identification of proteins in food matrices that cause sensitization in individuals or allergic reactions in those individuals already sensitized, represent a major concern for the food industry. Here we explore the application of CE/MS/MS as an accurate and sensitive way to rapidly test for protein allergens in food.
