Total RNA isolation/miRNA isolation
We use the mirVana RNA isolation kit for both total RNA and miRNA isolation. The kit includes everything you need including filters, tubes and washes. One specific benefit is the kit can be ordered WITH or WITHOUT the acid:phenol chloroform, which lasts beyond one kit, so you don't have dangerous unused chemicals piling up the lab.

I am using mirVana miRNA Isolation Kit to isolate total RNA. I am interested in all type of RNA molecules from smaller ones to big RNA molecules therefore, I am using the mirVana kit to look at variouse RNA molecules from total RNA. The kit is very easy to use and I m really satisfied with yield and purity.
