BRANDplates® inertGrade™ 96-well plates are especially suited for cell culture applications when adhesion is not desired. These plates are specifically designed for the cultivation of suspension, tumor, and stem cells, as well as other spheroid or 3-dimensional tissue culture models.
They feature a surface that reduces cell adhesion and protein absorption to minimize enzyme and cellular activation. All BRANDplates® inertGrade™ microplates are sterile according to Ph. Eur. and USP 29, SAL10-6, and are alphanumerically coded with orange embossing for easy plate and well identification.
Available clear, white, and black, with U- F- or C-bottom, as well as white or black with transparent bottom, to suit your needs.
Formation of Spheroids and Suppression of Adhesion by Adherent Growing Cells in inertGrade™ Microplates
Suppression of the integrin mediated cell adhesion is vital in many experimental procedures, such as the production of embryonic bodies, self-assembled 3D cultures, and tumor spheroids. This application note describes a study in which BRANDplates® interGrade™ microplates where used to successfully suppress adhesion of a variety of adherent growing cell lines. The study also compares interGrade™ to competitor cell-repellent surfaces and found that when using interGrade™, larger numbers of smaller aggregates form and are uniformly distributed over the entire well surface when using.
Formation of Spheroids and Suppression of Adhesion by Adherent Growing Cells in inertGrade™ Microplates
Suppression of the cell adhesion that is mediated by integrin is of significant importance in many experimental procedures, such as the production of embryonic bodies, self-assembled 3D cultures, and dose-response relationships in cultivated tumor spheroids. This application note demonstrates that BRANDplates® inertGrade™ surfaces suppress the adhesion and spreading of adherent growing cells.
Validating Non-Adherence of Human Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSC) on BRAND inertGrade™ 96-well Plates
This application note validates BRAND inertGrade™ 96-well plates for use in the testing of cellular parameters of human mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) growing on granules of bone graft substitutes. The plates allow easy removal of MSCs due to their non-attachment to the well bottom.
BRANDplates® inertGrade™ Surface Supports Neurosphere Formation and Maintenance
The BrandTech has developed a super hydrophilic surface based on hydrogel. It establishes an isolating water film in aqueous solutions, which strongly suppresses interactions of cells or proteins with the culture plastic. This application note shows that the hydrogel derived inertGrade™ surface efficiently inhibits cell attachment and thereby prevents unintended differentiation processes of neurospheres.
Reconstruction of Human Epidermis Using BRANDplates® Insert System
To deplete sources of unintended process fluctuations and to ensure high quality and reproducibility of in vitro tissues, the Fraunhofer Society and BRAND GMBH + CO KG collaborated in the development of the BRANDplates® Insert System. This application note presents a method for the cultivation of human epidermis using the system.
