Peptide Purification Method Development: Purification of Bivalirudin Using HPLC Columns from Phenomenex

6 Nov 2014

The Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API), Bivalirudin is a 20 amino acid peptide containing one basic and 5 amino acid residues. It is a direct thrombin inhibitor indicated for use as an anticoagulant in patients. This application note presents the purification method development and scale up experiments performed on a crude sample of Bivalirudin prepared by solid phase synthesis.
