Multi-steroid extraction from saliva or serum using positive pressure SPE

In this application note, Tecan describes an automated workflow for high efficiency extraction of multiple steroids using the Resolvex A200 in combination with Tecan’s Narrow Bore Extraction™ (NBE™) microparticulate columns. This set-up is integrated into a Freedom EVO^® liquid handling platform to allow complete automation of the extraction method – including aliquoting of samples, standards and buffers – and is intended to provide a generalized, proof of concept workflow that can be easily optimized for the analysis for other steroids or steroid-like compounds.
