Great results and so easy to order.
Rating: 5.0

  • Application Area: High Performance Liquid Chromatography

"These columns are the best value for your money. The reproducible results you get, along with the sharp peaks can't be matched. I highly recommend these to anyone looking for great results. The prices I feel are right on target with other columns that work as awesome as these."

"The stability at high temperature is destructive for lifetime, so do not use with high temperatures"

Review date: 19 Jul 2005 | XTerra® Columns
Based upon first generation hybrid (inorganic/organic) particles, the XTerra® family of HPLC columns enables chromatographers to perform high pH drug discovery, method development and purification separations.

XTerra® Columns combine the best properties of silica and polymeric bonded phases with patented Hybrid Particle Technology that replaces one out of every three silanols with a methyl group during particle synthesis. This hydrophobicity is distributed through the entire structure of the particle backbone, resulting in a rugged hybrid particle that can be operated at high speeds, high temperatures and at high pH. The presence of 33% fewer residual silanols (after endcapping and bonding) also means that XTerra columns give exceptionally sharp, high-efficiency peaks for basic compounds.
