RediSep® Alumina Columns
Neutral alumina columns are useful when samples are acid sensitive and prone to degradation on normal phase silica gel. Acid and basic alumina columns are useful when purification of a compound with those properties is considered. This avoids the solvent swapping and additional extraction, washing, and concentration involved in recovering target compounds from collected fractions containing a mobile phase modifier such as tri…

Alternative to Silica based media Neutral Alumina columns offer an alternative to silica based media which can be useful in cases where the intrinsic slight acidity of silica results in partial or full acid-sensitive compounds product degradation during purification.
Similarly, acidic or basic alumina represent stationary phase alternatives for components holding an acid or a basic moiety showing partial or full degradation during purification using normal phase or functionalized silica.
RediSep® Alumina Columns Features:
- High flow rates for fast purification of target compounds.
- Column sizes available for purifying milligrams to several grams.
- RFID technology for automatic set up on compatible instruments.
- Fits all Isco CombiFlash automated organic purification instruments.
- Long shelf life in airtight, resealable packages.
- Luer lock end fittings.
Save Time and Money by Purifying Peptides Yourself
This application demonstrates how the CombiFlash® EZ Prep system with PurIon Model L mass spectrometer and RediSep® Prep columns allow research labs to save time and money by purifying crude peptides received from outside synthesis labs themselves. By purifying peptides as needed, a continuous supply of fresh peptide is always available as peptides can degrade over time during storage.
Introduction to Functionalized Silica Gel and Alumina RediSep® Columns
This application provides an introduction to Isco’s RediSep® Columns loaded with functionalized silica gel and basic, acidic, and neutral alumina. The use of neutral alumina can be helpful for separation of compounds without running the risk of acidity breaking down a compound and with an acid or base moiety covalently bound to the stationary phase, the need to switch solvents is eliminated.
Operating RediSep® Flash Columns Using Pressurized Solvent Reservoir Systems
In this application note, discover how it is possible to operate RediSep Flash columns on an air driven system intended for cartridge type columns. Loading capacities are comparable for similar column sizes and there are several advantages to using the RediSep columns rather than the cartridge type columns.
