Great piece of equipment for studying molecular interactions.
Application Area: Molecular interactions
"It is a great equipment to study molecular interactions. It is very easy to use during setup and data analysis. Software is intuitive and provides data explanation after experiment. Although consumable purchasing in Canada is not the greatest. Supply chain in Canada is very weak (need to plan experiments well in advance to make sure you have everything)."
The Monolith NT.Automated measures biomolecular interactions via MicroScale Thermophoresis (MST) in a fully automated fashion. MST is a unique technology to quantify biomolecular interactions in an easy, rapid and accurate fashion. Interactions can be detected even without an increase in mass or size upon complex formation. This allows MST to sensitively measure fragment or small molecule binding to target proteins.
The Monolith NT.Automated is designed for high-throughput applications. The instrument can be integrated in a liquid handling platform to allow 8 hours of unsupervised data acquisition. Furthermore, the capillary format avoids any equilibration or washing downtime. Thus, the Monolith NT.Automated is the ideal instrument for screening and hit identification applications.
In addition, the Monolith NT.Automated can be equipped with up to two different detection systems. The instrument therefore offers a great versatility and combines truly label-free measurements and high-affinity applications.
Features:
Screening projects can be performed in an automated fashion, with the typical MST benefits:
Maximum throughput for single-point measurements and dissociation constants:
Applications:
Interactions between any kind of biomolecules, from single ions, fragments and small molecules up to high molecular weight complexes.
