Application Area:

Analyze Phthalates in Plastic Samples

We currently perform the test of plastic samples searching for phthalates according to REACH and CEPSIA regulations. We measure the sample extracts using this GC-MS. It is a very robust instrument and enough sensitivity to meet the requirements. Working with such an instrument actually makes easy daily work. It is highly recommended.

MOSH/MOAH Analyzer for Food and Food Packagings

Discover the routine-capable LC-GC system for on-line determination of mineral oil contaminations in food and food packaging materials as well as in livestock feed, from Shimadzu in this brochure. Shimadzu’s MOSH/MOAH analyzer puts manufacturers of food and food packagings on the safe side. The MOSH/MOAH analyzer has been designed specifically for sensitive and fast detection of mineral oil contaminations based on the draft version of the European Norm 16995:2016. The system combines LC and GC technology with flame ionization detection (FID) for a highly efficient analysis covering preparation, pre-separation and automated processes.

Simple Analysis of Pesticides Using AOC-MEPS System

MEPS (microextraction by packed sorbent), a solid phase microextraction system developed by SGE, consists of a solid-phase extraction cartridge that is integrated in a syringe needle. Analytes of interest can be trapped on the solid phase by simply aspirating the sample, and can accommodate volumes ranging from microliters to milliliters. The analytes that are bound to the sorbent material in the cartridge are dissolved by aspirating elution solvent (volumes from as little as a few to hundreds of microliters), and then injecting directly into the GC or GC/MS for analysis. In this application note, Shimadzu introduces examples of analysis of pesticide residues in crude food extracts and in water using the AOC-MEPS system.
