Qpol PLUS 1 / PLUS 2

The Qpol PLUS 1 (single wheel) and PLUS 2 (twin wheel) are automatic grinding and polishing machines for the materialographic laboratory, designed for high throughput, large samples, and excellent reproducibility. They accept working wheels of Ø 200/250/300 mm and can operate with single pressure (individual plungers, up to 6 samples of Ø 50 mm) or central pressure (up to 5 samples Ø 50 mm), enabling grinding and polishing of mounted, unmounted, and oversized specimens. The PLUS grinding/polishing head exerts 5–80 N in single pressure and 20–350 N in central pressure mode. L-type sample holders allow central-pressure holders up to Ø 185 mm.

The machine body is a sturdy welded, powder-coated aluminum construction with a corrosion-free plastic tub. A Cleaning Boost spin-cycle function spin-dries the grinding/polishing medium at 750 rpm within 3 seconds at the end of each preparation process. Operation is via an integrated 7"" industrial touchscreen storing up to 200 preparation methods protected by user account management. Optional Qdoser GO, Qdoser PLUS, or Qdoser ONE dosing systems enable automated dispensing.
