Research Experiments
Hydrogen supply is a critical part of my lab’s research, especially for graphene synthesis where it is used during substrate annealing. Handling high-pressure cylinders can be cumbersome and potentially hazardous, so the hydrogen generator from Peak Scientific has been an invaluable upgrade for our workflow. It is simple to operate, delivers a stable flow of up to 100 sccm, exactly what our process requires and provides clear status indicators that make troubleshooting quick and straightforward. I have already recommended this generator to several fellow labs at the University of Texas. The only minor issue I’ve encountered is the release of pressurized hydrogen after completing a run: powering the unit off causes the ferrule nut on the delivery line to loosen slightly. Aside from that, the system has been reliable, user-friendly, and highly effective for our applications.

The quality of the hydrogen generated is the best I've seen in my 17 years of doing GC analyses. The baseline signal and noise is extremely low and the system is very intuitive to use.

Clinical Toxicology Laboratory GC-FID analysis
We use our PEAK Precision SL 100 Hydrogen Generator to supply hydrogen to a GC-FID used to analyse toxic alcohols in patient samples. As a clinical site it is very important that our equipment is reliable to allow us to analyse urgent patient samples in cases of suspected poisoning.
