No problem of use because the equipment manages itself. The noise level is acceptable. Maintenance parts are expensive if you don't take out a maintenance contract.

Works well, but has an unresolved quirky issue.
Air/N2 source for triple-quadrupole LC-MS/MS, used for analysis of hormones
Generator feeds quality gases to ESI source at constant flow rates, but has an ongoing problem in that it does not always shut off when the MS shutsdown and stops taking gas; for some reason the generator thinks it can't keep up and goes to constant duty, even though no gas is being used. Turning the MS back on and using gas somehow causes the generator to realize what it's doing and go back to a normal duty cycle and eventually stop operating when the MS is switched back off. Replacement of the control bard and associated firmware partially improved the situation, but not 100%. Overall, this is more of an annoyance than anything, and just puts unecessary ware on the machine and requires PM service more often, especially if allowed to its own devices to run at constant duty.
