GC-FID testing
The zero-air generator works nicely for GC-FID testing in our lab. It is compact and was a lot cheaper than other generators on the market. I highly recommend them. Shipping was slow from across the pond though.

Generating air for GC's
The product generally works as expected. We had a very difficult time scheduling a technician to come do a PM on the instrument and it was complicated to get a 'do it yourself' PM kit sent to the lab.

We purchased the Precision Zero air generator about 5 years ago and are very pleased with its performance. Always reliable and precise. I would still like to have the Stikcstoff generator and the hydrogen generator. The design of the instruments are very appealing and fits a modern lab very well.

Won't need air cylinder again.
Clean air for ISO 16000 application
This equipment was purchased along the PEAK Compressor to conduct experiments according to the ISO 16000-6 standard. This setup is much more convenient than a cylinder that could empty before the end of one experiment. The modules are really easy to setup if you have some knowledge of press fittings and the right wrenches. Some disassembly is needed to tune the pressure and flow desired as the valves are hidden inside the equipment. Once, the clean air generator saved the day when our GC-FID air cylinder emptied. A quick adjustment of the outlet pressure and we were running samples again.

The Precision Zero Air generators are designed specifically to supply clean, dry, hydrocarbon-free air to be used as detector gas for GC.
Five models are available, delivering 1.5, 3.5, 7, 18 and 30 liters per minute flow rate, dependent upon the specific requirements. As with all Precision Series generators, Zero Air benefits from a compact and modular, stackable design, minimizing the total footprint required for GC gas supply, and providing flexibility to add or remove modules as your laboratory requirements evolve over time. There are three module heights, the 1.5L and 3.5L come in the smaller unit, the 7L and 18L in the medium with the 30L generator housed in a larger unit.
