Tecan’s GenePaint system efficiently automates all the steps necessary – including fixing, staining, washing and hybridization procedures – for ISH of cells or tissues on microscope slide formats, under tight temperature control. GenePaint combines Tecan's expertise in automation and liquid handling with flow-through technology, eliminating 80 % of the manual steps of conventional ISH and extending walkaway times by enabling unattended hybridization protocols. It can be used with any commercial set of reagents, delivering consistent and reproducible results of excellent quality, and reagent savings. GenePaint is also suitable for immunohistochemistry (IHC) applications.

The Freedom EVO<sup>®</sup> 75 GenePaint™ Application Configuration

This application note describes the optimum application configurations for in situ hybridization using Tecan’s GenePaint™ System. GenePaint™ automates all of the steps required for performing in situ hybridization of tissues on microscope slide formats. Processing of large numbers of cell or tissue samples in these type of procedures is an extremely time consuming and laborious process. GenePaint™ alleviates this throughput bottleneck with the elimination of 80% of the manual steps of conventional ISH, FISH or IHC analysis.
