Chiral LC-MS Analysis of Methamphetamine in Urine on Astec CHIROBIOTIC V2
14 Jul 2014D-Methamphetamine is an illegal substance abuse recreationally and in sorts doping. Its enantiomer, L-Methamphetamine, is legal and found in several common medications. Reliable analytical methods to clearly distinguish the D- and L- forms are therefore necessary to prevent false positives in clinical or forensic settings. LC-MS has become an important tool for this purpose. Astec®CHIROBIOTIC® V2 efficiently separates methamphetamine enantiomers using LC-MS-compatible conditions allowing sensitive differentiation of the D- and L- forms in urine.
