Analyse More Semivolatiles Samples Per Shift Using Split Injection

8 Sept 2011

This technical note from Restek studies the use of split injection for increased sample throughput for semivolatiles analysis. By employing split injection with a higher initial GC oven temperature and faster cycle time, analysis times are fast with improved repeatability allowing more samples to be run per shift. Results indicated that by splitting off a portion of the sample, less column maintenance will be required and that using split injection for semivolatiles analysis offers significant advantages over splitless injection.
