LC-MS/MS Environmental Applications
The world is changing and we need to widen our Environmental Scope. Although analytical techniques and established regulated methods are not easily changed; more complex targets, larger lists, and a variety of sample matrices create a daily challenge for environmental chemists. By using the latest technologies and techniques in HPLC/ UHPLC and Sample Preparation, laboratories and chemists are able to develop better approaches to make their work Faster, Cheaper and Easier. Phenomenex is committed to supporting the industry through a comprehensive product portfolio of Sample Preparation, HPLC/UHPLC, and LC-MS, columns and accessories, along with application and method development services to meet industry needs.
A Simple and Rapid Extraction Method for Chlorinated Pesticides in Poultry Fat
Pesticide contamination is not limited to produce items. Animals used for food consumption are also exposed to contaminants at levels that can pose harm to the human population. Presented in this application note is a method developed using SPE and GC/electron capture detector (ECD), for pesticides analysis from poultry fat. It shows how this method improves upon the traditional procedure, resulting in a 75% reduction in laboratory space, reduction of hazardous waste, and a 50% reduction in labor consumption, leading to greater laboratory productivity.
Multi-Residue Pesticide Screening Method Using GC/MS
Pesticides are widely used by farmers to control pests, weeds and molds that would otherwise decrease crop production. While this has significantly increased worldwide food productions, these same pesticides pose significant health and environmental risks and are therefore subject to increasing regulation. Since many different types of pesticides can be used on the same food product, multi-residue screening approaches are used. This application note details the Zebron MultiResidue™ columns as a solution for all classes of pesticide analysis.

Phenomenex’s GC Troubleshooting Guide
This white paper provides troubleshooting support for gas chromatography (GC). GC is a common technique used in analytical chemistry, which is used for separating and analyzing compounds that can be vaporized without decomposition. This guide will explain how to deal with common issues such as bleed, drift, and noise through a series of systematic steps, which will lead to improved results and prevention of re-occurrence.
ZB-CLPesticides-1 & -2: A Drop-In Alternative for Pesticide Testing by GC/ECD
This white paper describes the use of ZB-CLPesticide GC columns as an effective alternative for detecting and analyzing pesticides. Zebron™ ZB-CLPesticides-1 and -2 allow you to run multiple methods without changing columns for faster, easier pesticide analysis. Save time and gain flexibility – run multiple pesticide classes on one instrument.
