An essential column for our production process. Very happy with the ROI.
Monitoring individual reactant during production
The Zebron ZB-1 capillary GC columns have demonstrated to us that they provide good value for money. The reactants we use in our manufacturing process have in the past reacted with the column chemistry, destroying the usefulness of the column. We have found the Phenomenex brand to be very robust and more resistant to loss of theoretical plates than other similar column brands

Chromatography
The column is user friendly and is easy to use. It makes my life easier in the lab with my work load. Easy to use and a good value price/utility.

I analyze C14 (tetradecanol) and C16 (esadecanol) by GC (Agilent 6890) using ZB-1. After each run with Restek RTX-1, I had to clean the injector and replace the gold seal and inlet line. After most runs with ZB-1, I could get away with just changing the inlet and not having to clean or trim the column. The separation was similar but the Zebron lasted about 2 to 3 times longer, which means saving money.
